Finally a semi-decent brand spanking new tower defense game. Well… maybe not so new. Onslaught2 has been in beta for quite a bit now. The game brings plenty of new features to the tower defense genre and has a very devoting fan base. From customizing maps to figuring out new strategies and making different combos this game has it all. It’s also run on an infinity loop meaning, the game never ends. Which sorta sucks. I very much liked this game. I enjoyed it throughly while trying to come up with the perfect strategy to get those darn badges. Today I will reveal them to you. One thing I don’t understand is why a bunch of creeps are trying to get into Area 51. Look at them, did you see what they look like? Anyways while your getting molested by printers, stars and bugs read on to learns some very useful information. Oh, here’s a useful link on how to play. You’ll pretty much learn everything from this.

Before going on and on about how I like most of the features in the game and comparing it to other garbage on Kongregate lets talk about the visuals, sound and playability. Animations and overall gameplay is very smooth but after around wave 200 or so you’ll most likely start witnessing some severe frame lag which ruins the gameplay, go to settings to try and reduce that a bit. Thank god for the mute button because after the first 5 minutes of hearing “pew-pew” and “pop” noises it slowly starts getting to you, no music is no featured in this game. Overall, I liked the concept and ideas around the game, the starting is pretty dull tho. You’ll go on about 200 kills before even starting to make a second tower. Although, I do get off of sending a couple waves at a time and seeing them get annihilated. Later on, lag well most definitely occur so be prepared.

I could go on and on about some of the features in this game. But instead, I’ll save you all the trouble of reading most of this nonsense (since your just looking for the cheats anyways) and just emphasize the main points. Comboing towers are essential in this game, especially if you want to get the badges. There are many combinations of towers that create secondary effects, which later on you well need. You can click this link for more information. There are also some tower that can link there damage together. An example of this is the laser tower. Remember to check the combo or linking range press “C”. Speaking of this keyboard shortcut, the game offers plenty of them which is awesome for the hardcore gamers. Modifier turrets are also offered in this game such as damage, range and rate modifiers. Please note that this does not work for special towers. What made this game stick out to me was how there are so many strategies that you can try out and see which ones come on top. My favorites are laser rocket combo and the one your most likely gonna use the slow nukes combo. I’ll provide more information on these as I continue onto the discussion of the badges.

If you don’t know how to spend money in the game… it’s either your illiterate or your just plain stupid. Anyways, feel free to get as much money as you want, change the value of “Game.CashManager3.player_cash” whatever you wish. Keep in mind putting it too high may crash your browser, so be reasonable.

This is pretty easy too, should take about 8-10 minutes. You don’t even need to combo. Just don’t get greedy when you get close and start sending out 10 waves at a time. They difficulty increases exponentially after a certain point.

Ahhh, extreme mode. Took me a couple times to finish this one without cheating. I found this strategy to be very foolproof and effective, courtesy of some dumb ass attention-wanting freak who spammed it all over Kongregate. Other then that if you still can’t beat you can try this, lock “Game.player_lives” and your all set.

I enjoyed this game very much but I found that in about the first 100 waves you can use 1 tower… it’s sorta depressing. Why not just start the game from that point and give use more money instead? Other then that the game is very entertaining and trying to come up with the perfect strategy is a good time killer. Hopefully we’ll see even more features and an overall better gaming experience in future releases.
